During the Christmas holidays we do a lot of activities it seems. We partake in the Moss Mansion Christmas Extravaganza, as Patti decorates a display there each season. We go to Lewistown to spend time with the Miller side of the family. We have gift openings at my parents' home, at our house, and then again usually with the neighbors. I love to stretch out that holiday feeling! So hence the smorgasbord of pictures below!
Walking hand-in-hand to the Moss to check out all the pretty trees, have warm cider, and make a few crafts. This year Josie made a reindeer out of hand print.
It's nice that all of us can travel in the car together! Off to Lewistown we go!
Our diligent driver! Meet 'Benson'....Sounds like a chauffeur doesn't it?
The girls are trying to retrieve a dog toy for Mika to chase after!
And Gloria braved getting down on the floor to play with Josie and her treehouse/playhouse doll set.
The girls got these cute dolls from Mick and Vicky and they have a motion sensor in the forehead, so if it's turned on it starts cooing, and making all sorts of noises, and saying things like "Mama". If you give it the pacifier, it makes a sucking sound. Addison took to hers immediately and before we knew it she was wandering off by where I knew OUR diaper bag for her was. She walked back into the room with the container of wipes saying, "Eww, stinky!" And "Poopy", so which she would take out a wipe and wipe her baby with it! It was adorable! She would then put the wipe back in the case and go put the case back in our diaper bag. She did this at least three more times while we were there. Cute!
We get together with the Davison's next door. Abigail is 8 months older than Josie, but they are best buds and we are thankful they have become good friends and we have such great neighbors!
Blake is 1 year 4 months younger than Addison, and unfortunately, I think he'll feel the wrath of these three girls in the later years, but he's a welcome addition!
Rhonnanana - a.k.a. Rhonda!
Opening gifts!
Dale with Blake sitting and enjoying the scene.
Josie displaying a new Barbie! A treasure for sure!
This is the celebration at Grandpa Darryl's and Grandma Patti's.
We had chocolate pudding pie for dessert and the girls were really in to that!
We got to decorate sugar cookies! An all-time favorite!
This is the excitement building up to opening gifts! And getting new dresses!
Reading a Christmas story!
Josie showing off a new jacket that has a matching outfit, but lately she's gotten into this whole 'possessed' look when trying to smile for the camera... Hope that goes away soon!
Josie opening and enjoying her first piece of candy from the Advent calendar!
Piano lovers!
Addison loves these mice. They sing and dance and sway back and forth. It was great entertainment for her while I was trying to decorate for the holidays. I've included 2 videos below - I had to do both - they are too cute!
I love children's reaction on Christmas morning!
Addison is big time into princess dresses, but at her size not many fit. So this was my alternative to that problem - a tutu! And she loves, loves, loves it!
Josie had to model each and every thing she got, this is just a couple of them! And again with the possessed look! Ha!
They love their hats they got from Reder and Ruby!
And the toy tool set.
Abbey, our neighbor, had a Barbie Jeep that she and Josie truck around in. Often Addison gets left out, so Santa this year brought her her very own 4-wheeler and it's even DORA!
Addison began sitting here quite often leading up to the holidays,
usually with her hands behind her head like Josie is mimicking here.
Too funny!
The girls got their own kitchen!
Chapsticks are an obsession with Josie. She got a lot more from Santa and she had them all lined up along the back of the couch. I thought it was cute, so I took a picture of it.
And Santa was busy this year! He brought Josie her own bicycle, helmet and pads! she rode this back and forth on our tile for weeks
nonstop in the house!
